Co-Workers at the Provincial Chapter

On 15th November, co-workers were invited to the Provincial Chapter to discuss the third part of the Provincial Plan Draft “The Hospitaller Mission Goes Forth”. The Session opened with a prayer to the Spirit for his guidance throughout the day.

The Vicar Provincial, Sister Isabel Canton, welcomed everyone reminding us that “this work that we are doing here during this Provincial chapter would not be complete without your participation and of course your input. Therefore I would like to thank you for all the contributions you have already made in preparation within your own centres and for being here today ready to work and complete our shared mission for the next six years.

Recreating hospitality is a project for each one of us and one to which everyone here can contribute towards from their own identity and professional commitment. We need to place it in the very centre as the core and then share our knowledge, spirituality and inspiration to promote our recreated hospitality. This is the challenge for all of us today”.

The message read on behalf of the General Superior, Sr Anabela Carneiro, encouraged us to “live radically the mandate of the Apostle Paul to the Christians in Rome: ‘PRACTICE HOSPITALITY'”. “With your dedication, professional skills, creativity and humanisation, you take on the meaning of mission, inherent in the spirit of Hospitality.”

It was an intense and fruitful day for all of us, which gave us a better and deeper understanding of the charism and mission of the Congregation.
