Holy Child Health Centre
Belonging to the Sekondi-Takoradi Diocese, The Holy Child Health Centre at Fijai is a day centre for the mentally ill, providing for children with learning difficulties and special needs.
Up to the end of 2000, this centre was managed by Sister Jane Chantal of the Holy Cross Congregation. When this Sister retired, Monsignor Martin Darko offered the centre to our Congregation and placed us in charge of it.

Holy Child Health Centre is located at Fijai in Secondi Takoradi Metropolis by the main Takoradi – Cape Coast road. Health facilities of the metropolis are incorporated in the Western Region health care services. The Centre caters for urban rural communities, but clients also come from Takoradi, Sekondi, Kwesimintsim and as far as Apowa and Beahu in the Ahanta West District. It is under the Essikadu Sub-district and has a catchments area of 14 communities with an estimated population of 55,854 people (from 2011 statistic). The population characteristic are a blend of several tribes, ethnic groups and nationalities but is traditionally an Ahanta area.

The Holy Child Clinic
In 2008, the Congregation also took over the administration and Management of the Holy Child Clinic, which provides the following services:
- Out Patient Department (OPD)
- Reproductive and Child Health (RCH)
- Day Care Centre for the rehabilitation of mentally sick
- Laboratory facilities
The Diocese of Sekondi-Takoradi owns the building and land.
