St. Augustine’s Home
At our home in Surrey we provide 24-hour residential care and support for 52 elderly people, some of whom are living with dementia and related illnesses. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, residents at St Augustine’s are able to enjoy a high quality of life and independence.
Situated in a quiet residential street in Addlestone, Surrey, conveniently located for both countryside access and proximity to London. Local transport services are within easy reach, and the M25 is just five minutes’ drive away.
The home itself
St Augustine’s is a residential home that can comfortably accommodate 52 elderly residents. Ten of its beds are in a secure unit, providing additional safety for those residents with advanced levels of dementia. The residential rooms on the ground and first floor areas are of varying sizes, each having its own character.
We encourage our residents to bring personal belongings with them, so the environment at St Augustine’s is familiar and homely. Our residents enjoy socialising in our large, well furnished, comfortable communal lounge, which opens directly onto the vast, well established secure gardens, which the residents can walk around at their leisure.
Features in the grounds include a sensory garden with water feature and a grotto. We have ample outside seating, so residents and their visitors can enjoy the grounds when the weather permits. There is also a communal dining room and, in line with the home’s religious history, a beautiful chapel.
Frequent visitors are actively encouraged and receive a warm welcome from Carers, Sisters and residents alike. Throughout the year, St Augustine’s hosts social functions to which friends and families are invited. Our annual summer barbecue is a particular highlight, being well attended and enjoyed by everyone involved.
