XXV World Day of the Sick

On 11 February, the Church celebrated the World Day of the Sick, instituted by Saint John Paul II in 1992 and first celebrated at Lourdes on 11 February 1993. This year’s theme was “Amazement at what God has accomplished: ‘The Almighty has don great things for me…’” (Lk 1:49).

A farewell and a welcome at Footherley Hall

Footherly Hall marked a period of transition on January 16th with a joint ‘Leaving and Welcome’ party. The party was a mix of sad and happy moments, saying farewell to Sr Josephine but at the same time welcoming ‘back’ Sr Tomasa, who is to take over as Superior.

The Day Centre at Benito Menni Hospital provides rehabilitation for children and young adults with mental health problems, with the aim of giving them as much personal development and independence as possible. They still need help for food, transport and treatment. Help us!
