Staff and residents of Footherley Hall have bid farewell and adios to their Superior, Sr Josephine, who left on Monday 18th January. Sister Josephine is returning home to Spain to spend some time with her family and will then be moving to our London Home, St Theresa’s. She will be sorely missed by all at Footherley, and staff and residents alike have wished her all the best for her new role.
Speaking of new roles, it is our pleasure to give a very warm welcome ‘back’ to Sr Tomasa who is to take over as Footherley Hall’s new Superior. We are sure Sister will settle back in in next to no time.
This period of transition was marked on January 16th with a joint ‘Leaving and Welcome’ party at Footherley Hall. The party was a mix of sad and happy moments, with both Sr Josephine and Sr Tomasa saying a few words. Sr Josephine was presented with a card and gifts of a rather posh pen and ‘Sisters by Heart’ figurines. A ‘thank you Sr Josephine’ cake was served and all present raised their glasses and gave a round of applause to wish both Sr Josephine and Sr Tomasa the best for their futures.
