Feast Day Festivities

Our preparations for the St. Benito Menni Feast Day started with the unusual but vital activity of an organised blood donation in the forecourt of the Dompoase palace. A total of 24 people participated in the exercise, 3 women and 20 men, and we were very pleased that 17 were successfully screened and able to donate. It was great to see members of our community come together in the spirit of hospitality, giving selflessly to help others.

The celebration itself began in the early afternoon and brought together staff, patients and children from the rehabilitation centre. Rev Fr Dominic Andoh brought the event to an end with an insight into the teachings of our Patron Saint and Father Founder St Benito Menni, a blessing to patients, community and everyone.

While the celebration may have been over, the teamwork continued with a staff clean-up exercise the following day, cleaning the compound, rooms and gardens. It is always important to remember how the environment can help lift the spirits so thank you all for your efforts.
