Harvest, Halloween and Feast Days!

St Teresa’s Home

October was a very special month for this home. We celebrated the Feast Day of the home; Harvest Day, to thank God for everything we have; and a Fundraising Afternoon Tea where we raised more than £500 for our children at the Day Centre in Dompoase. Ramya, one of our Care Assistants, also raised £1000 for the same cause and we will be eternally grateful to her for her effort and her desire to help. It was also the month of the Rosary, so whoever wanted to join and pray was very welcome!

St Augustine’s Home

At St Augustine’s Home, we kept residents very busy with our Halloween arts and crafts. Our residents in Section B wanted to make something really special for Remembrance Day, as it’s been 100 years since the Great War and, with a little bit of help, they created big posters and a beautiful painting with some poems. Friends of St Augustine’s organised a bingo and raffle evening that helped raise more than £800 for activities at the home. Thank you so much!

Christ the King Care Home

At our care home, there were lots of themed arts and crafts and our residents enjoyed painting pumpkins for Halloween. We had some Harvest Songs and Hymns as well as entertainment. Our home was filled with autumnal decorations and we are getting ready for Remembrance Day. We held our MacMillan Coffee Morning and raffle where we raised £176 for this good cause. And we also celebrated a couple of birthdays!
