Holy Child Health Centre meets Logos Hope

Logos Hope visit to Damien Centre

On the 13th of October, Damien centre was more than happy to welcome the crew of Logos Hope, a Christian organisation that sails around the world spreading the Gospel of Christ.

The crew were led to the centre by the sister in charge, and started the activities of the day with prayers. They took turns to introduce themselves and got to know the crew names and their country of origin.

We took our guests to see our farm. We have planted cassava, plantain and maize but the maize has been harvested. They were excited to learn that we have started eating our own produce.

Eventually, they got back to the centre and played games together, sang praises and worship songs. Then the crew presented us with some literature and prayed with us.

Later, they showed their guests how to prepare liquid soap. They watched anxiously as the inmates took them through the preparatory process.

At 2:30pm the group had the chance to interact with all the staff of Holy Child Health Centre.

Trip to Logos Hope Ship

A week later, on the 21st of October, Damien centre visited Logos Hope ship at Sekondi Naval Base.

On that day, all the clients reported on time and at 9:30 am, boarded the facility bus with drinks, water, food and money provided by the management.

After a safe journey, and making ourselves comfortable for a while, we called one of the crew members and he came to lead us to the ship.

Some of the clients were tense when we were about to enter the ship because for some of us it was our first time. We entered the ship and he took us to so many places in the ship. We saw where books and ice cream are sold and many other places.

They took many pictures to show our presence at the place and bought one of their books before taking  the bus back home.

They reached the Centre before Lunch. Thereafter, we said a word of prayer to thank God for having a safe trip.
