Sister Julia Anokye consecrated her life to the Lord on the 22nd of December at St Benito Church, Assin Foso surrounded by many religious, family and friends.
After many years of dedication to God, she finally made her pepetual vows. The Hospitaller Community sincerely wishes that the light of Christ guides her in her hospitaller life.
Sister Julia Anokye, HSC
“It is with great pleasure and contentment that I write to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation on the occasion of my Perpetual Profession which I have longed for so long to see. At long last, Christ in his infinite goodness and love brought everything in fulfillment on this appointed day.
It was a joy to say ‘Yes’ before Christ, whom I have loved so much because I have experienced his merciful love.
I had often wondered how it would be like to consecrate my entire life to the Lord as I stood before the whole Congregation of Christ, His Grace, Most Reverend Matthias Kobina Nketsiah, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Cape Coast. During the Interrogation, I knew I was answering these holy questions before Christ Himself and it was a joy to say ‘YES’ to Him, my Spouse, whom I have loved so much because I knew I have experienced his merciful love. Indeed my heart was filled with such great joy which cannot be expressed.
This great occasion was ably attended by our Provincial Superior, Sister Maria Begoña Perez, our Provincial Secretary, Sister Ana María Oroz, priests, religious, members of my family, the youth of my former Parish, Christ the King Church in Accra, staff of the Holy Child Health Centre, friends and well wishers. The encouragements of these invited guests and the youth choir at Foso is worth mentioning.
God has revealed to me in no mere words that He is a faithful God and therefore I would also like to serve him faithfully for the rest of my life.
May the Good Lord who has brought his plan to fulfillment in my life bless all those who attended this august ceremony and all those who supported me with their prayers, gestures and encouragement.
May the Good Lord bless the hospitaller family abundantly. May you all have a joyful and spirit filled Christmas and a Blessed New Year.”
