Monica Andoh is our junior sister staying in Cameroon while she is studying Religious Sciences. Part of her long vacation was spent in the Foso community, Ghana, experiencing our Hospitaller mission and practising hospitality in a new environment, where she made her second renewal of vows.
Coinciding with the feast of the Most Holy Name of Mary within the Eucharist – celebrated on 12th September by the Hospital Chaplain, Fr. K. Nicholas Addison – Sr Monica made her renewal of vows to Sister Joana Agbotse – delegate of the Provincial Superior. In a simple and profound act, Monica freely vowed to God’s poverty, chastity, and obedience for one year.
She says ‘It was a great privilege to be accompanied by the entire Hospitaller Community – our Sisters from Dompoase, hospital accountant Mr Kennedy Ntim and our two volunteers from Spain, Itziar and Nerea.’
‘With a joyful heart, l sang to my God and danced to glorify His name for what he has done for me from the first day until now. I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to those celebrating with me and all the other people that have made it possible to reach this day.’
“I was glad when I heard them say let us go to the House of the Lord.”
