In early January a number of our Residents went out in the mini bus to visit Lichfield Cathedral. The Cathedral hosted a display of 40 decorated Christmas Trees, which were sponsored by the local community. There was also a display of 10,000 paper angels made by our local school children.
We had a walk around the Cathedral, which included a visit to the Chapter house where a Curator gave us an interesting talk. The residents were invited to produce a brass rubbing before heading back to Footherley for lunch.
Our residents clearly have ‘green fingers’ as the ‘tete a tete’ bulbs that they planted at the end of last year have sprung into life. We have the bulbs on sale in reception and more than 25 have been sold already!
