The Province of England launches their first initiative of this kind. “Walk the Talk” encourages the Hospitaller community to walk, cycle, or run during the month of August.
The purpose of this initiative is to raise funds for our Mental Health Day Centre in Dompoase (Ghana). This centre supports children with mental disabilities, providing them with food and water, clothes, medicines, and therapy.
This initiative offers multiple options to join! You choose whether to walk, run, or cycle for a total of 5, 10, or 20 kilometres. The walk takes place during the month of August, with each participant deciding the time and place of their convenience.
We invite everyone to take part in this initiative of solidarity! Will we reach 141 kilometres walked in total?
The registration period for the walk starts on the 31st of May, coinciding with Sisters Hospitallers’ 141st anniversary. To sign up for the walk simply fill out this form *Donation of £5 per participant.
From July, we will start sending all the registered participants an email with their dorsal and other useful information about the initiative.
You decide when in August you want to walk, run, or cycle your chosen distance!
During that day, we encourage you to take a picture with your dorsal and share it on your social media profiles with #walkthetalk.
