Sisters Hospitallers care home in Shenstone has taken advantage of the sunny weather and enjoyed the lovely gardens. And when the weather wasn’t that good, our residents at Christ the King had fun playing Bingo and baking cakes!
Enjoying our Gardens
The weather being so nice is a blessing as picnic lunches are becoming the norm and our residents so enjoy this and being outside. In late afternoon, I happened to see a few residents still happily chatting. How lovely….and with our management meeting being held outside this week too, it means we are all benefiting from our lovely gardens! Our Sisters to take daily walks there. Have a look at some photos Sr Bernardina has taken which really do capture just how lovely the area is – not to mention the cows from the neighbouring field!
During lockdown, we have continued with our Thursday bingo sessions which our residents thoroughly enjoy. The ‘players’ are very competitive and aim to win the top prize of the day! After a ‘line’ is called the excitement really mounts and it is ‘eyes down’ for a full house…how super!
Our Residents have enjoyed the fruits of their labour after spending one-morning baking cakes. They were very busy mixing and stirring whilst reminiscing about days gone by when they baked for their families and they went on to spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying their chocolate cakes with afternoon tea. And we give a warm welcome to Norma who we hope will be happy and enjoy being here with us at Footherley Hall.
