Who doesn’t know David Bowie’s song ‘Let’s dance’? It is what our residents did. They put their shoes and smiles on and let their bodies move with the music.
In our Sisters Hospitallers care home in Addlestone, UK, on this occasion, it was Dave Mac and his accordion in charge of dragging the people to the dance floor.
Residents, sisters, co-workers, and visitors had a great time moving to the beat of the ’50s and 60’s music. You can see it in the photos!
We all know how music can change our mood and make us feel happier, but music is also used to strengthen our emotions, cognitive skills, physical abilities and social connections. The best thing is that dancing can be a good way to keep fit for all ages, shapes, and sizes.
Charlie paid a visit too and delighted us with his lovely songs. And as we said at the beginning, ‘Let’s Dance’!
