In May we were very pleasantly surprised and thankful for the council’s support – a donation of three IPads. The idea is to assist our residents to connect with their friends and families during the lockdown and to be able to communicate not only through audio senses but to have the benefit of visual connection too.
It gave great pleasure to a number of our residents during the month, who have had regular video calls with their families. It was a wonderful idea and we could see the residents were very happy, relaxed, and cheerful after the conversations which helped to support them while missing their families and meeting them face to face. Next month we will continue to keep our residents’ spirits up and to keep them connected to the outside world.
